After suffering from a terrible personal
trauma, a young grad student throws herself into her
dissertation on the works of the classic American pulp
author H. P. Lovecraft. Increasingly obsessed with the
author's dark universe, she begins to experience harrowing
visions and spirals into a world of madness.
