CREW:

David Schmidt – Writer/Director/Producer
David is a graduate of Columbia Collage of Chicago. After being part of several disastrous feature-film attempts, he left filmmaking and spent many years writing and directing live theatre, environmental performance, fiction writing, stage combat, and oral storytelling. He has been Artistic Director for the History Repeats Itself Theatre Company, and Associate Street Director at The Bristol Renaissance Faire. Several years after the formation of Sword & Cloak Productions it became clear that he really wasn't going to happy unless he was making movies. This has led to the production of many short movies, including Swords, Honor, and Somebody's Sister, the Invocation trilogy, Grave Invitations, and The Lovecraft Syndrome. He wrote and directed the swashbuckling feature, Sword Of Hearts, to positive reviews and it's currently available through this Website and on Amazon.com. House of Black Wings is his second feature length movie.

James M. Collins II – Producer/Editor
An alumnus of Loyola, he received his BA in communication in 1985, focusing on radio, television and film. While overseeing the audio and video equipment for department’s production courses Collins continues to pursue his own interest in filmmaking, working on several independent projects. In 1991 he directed and edited a documentary short for the Chicago Association of Retarded Citizens, which won him the Helen Cody Baker Award for Social Service Communicators. Collins and co-producer David Schmidt shot Invocation: Doppelganger in 1998 and the sequel Invocation: End Game in 1999, a 90-minute feature, Sword of Hearts, and two horror films Grave Invitation and The Lovecraft Syndrome in 2005.
