David Schmidt is a graduate of Columbia Collage of Chicago. After being part of several disastrous feature-film attempts, he left filmmaking and spent many years writing and directing live theatre, environmental performance, fiction writing, stage combat, and oral storytelling. He has been Artistic Director for the History Repeats Itself Theatre Company, and Associate Street Director at The Bristol Renaissance Faire. Several years after the formation of Sword & Cloak Productions it became clear that he really wasn't going to happy unless he was making movies. This has led to the production of several short movies, including Swords, Honor, and Somebody's Sister, and a trilogy of action/horror thrillers, the Invocation series. Sword Of Hearts is his first feature length movie.
